Vegan and wine-free Gravy sauce

Today I cooked this vegan steak accompanied by a light vegan gravy and no wine. The side dish consists of sautéed vegetables (zucchini, carrots and potatoes). This dish itself has nothing "special," in the sense that its structure may be familiar to anyone. This leads me to reflect on what was my thought about the vegan diet : "Eating vegan is too difficult."

Vegan cuisine and "tradition"

But is it really difficult to eat vegan? I've been vegan for more than a year now and the only thing I regret is that I didn't become one sooner! It takes some time and adaptation at first, but as soon as you learn a few tricks, like substituting various ingredients, it becomes a piece of cake!

So I repeat again, following a vegan diet can be done by allə!

Take the example of this vegan, wine-free gravy. All it took was substituting a few ingredients, trying to reproduce the different flavors, and lo and behold, the gravy has nothing to envy the original. Not to mention that this gravy will only take you a few minutes and not several hours.

That is why today I am sharing with you a recipe for a gravy sauce that I thought up on the spot letting my instincts guide me.

What ingredients you will need for vegan, wine-free gravy

This recipe will surprise you with its simplicity. It also requires only a few simple ingredients that we often already have at home. Here they are listed:

  • Vegan butter
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 white onion
  • vegetable broth
  • white all purpose flour
  • Soy sauce
