Here are all the ingredients you'll need

As you already know, the ingredients you will need to prepare these flourless spiced crackers with seeds are very simple and are as follows:

  • Flax seed
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chia seeds
  • Almonds roughly chopped
  • Boiling water

Spices:

  • Turmeric powder
  • Curry powder
  • Tandoori powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

NB.: Flax seeds are important in this recipe because they will make the seed mix dense and compact, creating an even consistency. As an alternative you can use chia seeds to thicken the mixture.

Step-by-step preparation

1. Put all your seeds in a large, heatproof bowl. Add the spices, salt and pepper and mix well.

2. Add boiling water to your seeds until the seeds are completely covered. Stir well and then leave to stand for at least 15-20 minutes.

3. Turn on the oven at 180°C (400°F).

5. Take a baking tray with a baking sheet. Put the seed mixture on the baking tray and spread it out with the help of a spoon or spatula. It should be more or less 3 mm thick.

6. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until your flattened dough is dry and golden brown.

7. Once you remove the baking tray from the oven, let the cracker dough rest for a few minutes and then break it up roughly with your hands to form your crackers.

Storage tips
