Why you will love these vegan snickers
Easy and quick to prepare: a few simple steps and your vegan cakes will be ready. You will only have to be patient for the resting time in the fridge.
Snickers in light version: these homemade vegan snickers are lighter because they do not contain any sugar (except that contained in the chocolate and maple syrup). The ingredients used to create the caramel are dates and almond cream (you can also use peanut butter). This recipe for snickers is therefore fit.
Versatile: you can use this recipe to create bar-shaped snickers instead of the cube shape I used.
Here are all the ingredients you'll need
For the inner cookie
- 80 g vegan chocolate biscuits
- 80 g oat flakes
- 2 Tbsp. coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
Cream inside
- 160 g dates soaked in water for at least 1 h (or overnight)
- 5 Tbsp Manko almond and coconut cream (from Uncooked) or a cream of almonds, peanuts or cashews
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 4 handfuls roasted and salted cashews
- 35 g walnuts
For the chocolate coating
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 1 tsp coconut oil
You can melt the dark chocolate for the coating in the microwave. If you do not have a microwave, you can melt it in a bain-marie.
Storage tips
Once ready, store your snickers in the fridge in a container. They will stay good for at least 5 days.
