Vegan salmon fillet

Hi there, today I have something incredible to share with you. Before going vegan I used to love a good salmon fillet. Well, I have found an equally amazing product, but completely vegan! Introducing a vegan and gluten-free wonder: the 3D printed salmon fillet from the Viennese company Revo Foods. It's a game-changer! Not only does it taste like the real deal, but this salmon fillet substitute is also packed with high omega-3 values, just like traditional salmon.

Your heart will thank you

If you are looking for other vegan alternatives to fish, I suggest you try my Vegan Calmon (carrot lox)

Why you’ll love this vegan salmon fillet

The vegan salmon fillet is made from mycoprotein, sourced from the roots of mushrooms. Nature's magic turned into a delicious dish!

The flavour and texture really do resemble the original salmon, so it will be easy to cook it 'the way you always did'!

You can find this 3D printed global innovation at your nearest Billa Pflanzilla store or simply order it online from anywhere in Europe.

You will help preserve aquatic fauna!

You can pair it with anything, for example, I served it with fluffy white rice and a avocado and cucumber salad:

Preparation (step-by-step)

  1. Step 1: Crafting the Marinade
Let's kick things off with the marinade. It's super easy and adds an explosion of flavours to your salmon. In a bowl, mix together some olive oil, a drizzle of agave syrup for that touch of sweetness, a sprinkle of paprika powder for that smoky kick, garlic powder, and of course, salt and pepper to taste.
Tip: Don't be shy with the seasoning – this is where the magic happens!
  2. Step 2: The Bed of Onions
Preheat your oven to 200°C (about 400°F). While it's heating up, create a fragrant bed for your salmon by slicing some red onions and spreading them out on a baking tray. Lay your marinated salmon fillets on top
  3. Step 3: Marinade the salmon
Place your beautiful salmon filet on the onions generously coat them with your fragrant marinade. It's like a flavour party for your 'fish'! Add some fresh thyme and rosemary
