Ingredients

  • 300 g 10.58 oz all purpose flour
  • 200 ml water
  • 5-7 g 0.25 oz dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • as needed salt

Instructions

  • Dissolve yeast and sugar in 30-50ml (1 fl oz) of water (taken from total water)
  • Put the flour in a large bowl and make a hole in the middle.
  • Put the yeast in the center of the flour and start kneading gently with the help of a wooden spoon.
  • Add the water slowly, always mixing with the ladle. Then add the salt.
  • Stop when you get a smooth but still very wet mixture (if too dry, add water).
  • Cover the surface of the dough with plenty of flour. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let rise for at least 90 minutes.
  • Place the dough on a floured baking sheet making sure to leave the floured surface facing upward.
  • Cut the dough in half, trying to give it a nice shape but touching it as little as possible.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 230°C (450 °F) for 30 minutes.
