1 bowl for leaving the bread soggy
1 strainer for sprinkling powdered sugar
Ingredients
2slicesthick bread (approx. 4-5 cm)
300mlvegetable milk (any vegetable milk will do)(10.14 fl oz)
1Tbspcornstarch
1tsppowdered cinnamon
2tspsugar
2-31.23 oz walnutsvegetable butter
For the toppings
1Tbsppowdered sugar
1Tbspwhipped vegetable cream
1handfulfrozen berries (or not)
Instructions
In a wide but high-sided bowl pour the milk, cornstarch, sugar, and cinnamon. Mix everything together with a whisk.
Place the two slices of bread in the milk and soak it on both sides. Then let it soak in the milk for at least 30 minutes, changing sides occasionally.
Then heat a nonstick skillet and melt the vegetable butter.
Once the butter is completely melted, toast your bread slices in the pan on each side for about 5 minutes or until they are golden brown.
Decorate your French toast with a sprinkling of powdered sugar, a dollop of vegetable cream and the berries.
