There are no secret ingredients or magic tricks to obtain a smooth and creamy hummus. Just follow the few simple steps I will explain in the next section. Hummus is one of my favourite recipes for a vegan starter. I particularly like to dip some <a href=\"https:\/\/luvvelovesfood.com\/en\/tortilla-chips-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tortilla chips<\/a> or serve them with some tasty <a href=\"https:\/\/luvvelovesfood.com\/en\/vegan-sausage-rolls\/\">vegan sausage rolls<\/a> or with some <a href=\"https:\/\/luvvelovesfood.com\/en\/bruschetta-with-pumpkin-cream\/\">bruschetta with pumpkin cream<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why you'll love this smoked tofu recipe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Easy:<\/strong> it is very quick and easy to make this light chickpea hummus. You don't necessarily have to use your bimby to prepare this tasty hummus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Quick:<\/strong> you can use tinned chickpeas to make your hummus and get the same delicious result. For an even creamier result, boil your pre-cooked chickpeas for about 10 minutes to soften them even more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>The original recipe:<\/strong> this is the original recipe for creamy hummus with tahina sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>If you want without tahini:<\/strong> If you wish, you can also make your hummus without tahina. You will have to soak them in plenty of water for at least 8 hours or overnight.<br>Once the 8 hours have passed you can drain your chickpeas and put them in a pot with new, clean water. Then let them cook for 1 hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">To make hummus, your chickpeas will need to reach a consistency that allows them to crumble easily between two fingers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Soak the chickpeas in a large bowl. Be sure to put plenty of water because the chickpeas will swell.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-0-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Let the chickpeas soak for at least 8 hours or overnight.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-0-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Once the 8 hours have passed, remove the water and put the chickpeas in a pot with new water.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-0-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Bring the water to a boil and add baking soda and salt to the water. Add the chickpeas and let them cook for 1 hour. The chickpeas will be ready when you can \"crumble\" them between two fingers.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-0-4\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Drain the chickpeas and allow them to cool.<\/span><\/div><\/li><\/ul><\/div><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-group\"><h4 class=\"wprm-recipe-group-name wprm-recipe-instruction-group-name wprm-block-text-bold\">To make hummus (with already cooked chickpeas)<\/h4><ul class=\"wprm-recipe-instructions\"><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-1-0\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">If you use pre-cooked canned chickpeas, first boil them in a saucepan with bicarbonate of soda and plenty of water.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-1-1\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Put all the ingredients in a blender except the oil and water.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-1-2\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Blend all the ingredients, adding water little by little until you have the consistency you want.<\/span><\/div><\/li><li id=\"wprm-recipe-1287-step-1-3\" class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction\" style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\"><div class=\"wprm-recipe-instruction-text\" style=\"margin-bottom: 5px;\"><span style=\"display: block;\">Put the hummus on a plate with the help of a spoon and add the oil.
